Progress So Far

Where are the management arrangements for the Integrated Family Pathfinder Teams?

The Local Children’s Boards are involved in the design and governance of the service. The teams will initially be managed within Safeguarding and Specialist Services (SASS).

Which families will the Durham Family Pathfinder support?

The Family Pathfinder will aim to support families ‘at risk’. This is the term used to describe families with multiple, complex problems such as domestic violence, poor mental health or substance misuse. The Family Pathfinder teams will build upon existing CAF processes.

Which areas will be part of the Family Pathfinder pilot?

Pilot Family Pathfinder teams will be developed in 3 County Durham localities. Areas have been selected on the basis of sound evidence that includes local need and the readiness of localities to embrace and develop new ways of working: Derwentside, Easington and Sedgefield.

What about localities that are not part of the pilot arrangements?

We intend to develop our sweep of integrated services within all localities of Durham.

The pilot sites are one part of that process.
