About Directions
Directions is part of Durham County Council's Adult and Community Services Information to the Public Team. We have been offering a specialist information service, on social, health, family and disability, for over 10 years. During this time we have expanded the range of information offered by working alongside other services, equally concerned about providing quality information within County Durham.

Who do we work with?
- Culture and Leisure Services
Culture and Leisure maintains the Community Information Online. This database offers information on non-specialist areas such as local sports and leisure organisations, animal welfare groups, general hobby groups and consumer groups, to name but a few. - Children's Information Service in County Durham
Through close co-operation with the Children's Information Service, Directions is able to provide information on childcare including: childminders, nurseries, playgroups, out of school hours/holiday care, toddler groups and nursery education. The Children's Information Service in County Durham may be contacted on tel: 0800 9172917.
Due to these working partnerships the provision of information from the Directions resource is extensive and comprehensive. Why not see our Services page to learn how we can help you!
